24th November 2018 - My Season & PTC Going Forwards

It’s been an interesting season for me this year without racing Ironman, but fun none the less.

Some of the highlights were Dave and me winning our age group at the 2UP Duathlon, 5th place overall at the Rossendale Sprint Triathlon, 5th place overall at the Chorlton Sprint Cross Triathlon and 11th place overall at the very wet Salford Olympic Triathlon.

My best achievements though, were breaking 5 hours at the Outlaw ½ Triathlon, something which I specifically targeted, and then having a great performance in Estonia where I represented GB at the European Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, finishing in 20th place in my age group – not bad for a European Championship race!

In 2019, I’ll be racing at the Outlaw ½ Triathlon, with an aim to break 5 hours again, only this time wearing a pink tutu and a pink moustache, all in aid of Cancer Research, and then back to Ironman Bolton for more fun and frolics.

The last few months have been very busy for team PTC with several new athletes joining the team, some novices and some old timers, but all with similar goals of racing well in 2019 from all distances from Sprint through to Ironman.

If you’d like to be part of team PTC, then please, get in touch so we can start you on the path to reaching your goals in the 2019 season.
