25th August 2017 - Salford Olympic Distance Triathlon 2017

So, an update from the Salford Olympic Distance Triathlon 2017.

What a great event - brilliantly organised and the lap style racing promoted a great atmosphere in Media City with loads of spectators and cheering.

The weather also held out. although the wind was challenging and made for a tough bike course - reflected in the times.

Big well done to Mags for completing her 1st Olympic Distance Triathlon - not bad considering she only started open water swimming 2 months ago - and she did it smiling. Watch out for her Triathlon Journey Blog coming soon.

Another big well done to Marc for PB’ing at Olympic distance only 2 weeks after Ironman UK - way to go Marc.

Then Toby, also finishing in a great time and somehow managed to smile all the way round.

A big shout out to Oli and Andy who were following PTC's event specific plans and although Andy didn't have the race he was hoping for, he had a good excuse after being ill at the beginning of the week.

And finally myself and David who finished 1st and 2nd in our age group (40-49) - doesn't come better than that for PTC athletes - 2 on the podium in the same age group !!!
